National Rankings Dec. 25th, 2023

Big weekend of action with Beast, MatBoss Christmas Classic, and others around the country.

I wanted to wait until after the HOF Duals to update. And we got some good results from there. 

The other event of note was the Knockout Christmas Classic in Florida.

Now that we’re into the season, Valiant Prep kids fall out. Also holding guys out until they compete.

Biggest results were Zepeda and Hopke losing. Biggest climber, Joe Toscano (144) from Buchanan.

  1. Sontz avenged loss to Regan.
  2. Noble beat Hayes.
  3. 9 previously unranked enter as 106 proves to be chaotic early.

  1. Villasenor leads trio of kids up from 106.
  2. Smith avenges loss to Uhorchuk for Beast title.
  3. Shabazz is wild. Beats Ballard, loses to Batista.
  4. As soon as Muyleart competes, he’ll enter.

  2. Beric Jordan transfers mid season.
  3. Desmond undefeated at HOF duals including major over Jones.
  4. Jones over Rivera biggest result from Stillwater.
  5. Taylor up from 113 slots in behind Mendoza due to h2h.
  6. Valiant Prep kids move out. Botero will enter as soon as he competes.

  1. Unfortunately didn’t get a Lilledahl McComas match at HOF Duals.
  2. Walker took close loss to Paridon up at 132. 
  3. Mills over DeGennaro in Knockout finals.
  4. Ortega was Beast 3rd place giving Knox closest match of the season.

  2. O’Neill holds his spot with depth of resume.
  3. Botello lost to Hollingswoth at 138.
  4. Paridon with quality win over Gage Walker.
  5. Gutierrez finished 2nd at Reno with loss to Cortez.

  2. James won Beast.
  3. Kelly beat Hollingsworth at HOF Duals.
  4. Curtis went undefeated at HOF Duals. 
  5. Hilton still without in-season results slides out for now.
  6. Valencia focusing on RTC, senior events.

  1. Shaw took some surprise losses at Beast. 
  2. Toscano with most impressive performance at HOF Duals. 
  3. Nelson over Charmoli. Braun over Nelson.
  4. Sam Herring at 144 loses close to Brogan Tucker.

  2. Mara over Parco for Reno title.
  3. Estrada out until he competes.
  4. Ballante drops a bit after Beast.

  2. Contino picked up win over Routledge at HOF Duals.
  3. Mekhi Neal out until he returns.

  2. Fowler wins Knockout over Hodge.
  3. Henckel was Beast champ.
  4. Garvick finished 2nd to Henckel with 2 ranked wins.
  5. Griffen falls a bit after Beast.
