Obviously the US Open has been the biggest HS related freestyle event this Spring. It factors in substantially to this update. However, there are plenty of national level wrestlers who didn’t compete in the US Open. I tried to balance that the best I could.
In the Wins/Losses columns, I am only making note of HS wrestlers that are ranked or close to it. Any collegiate, middle school, or far from the rankings results are not included. However, if someone beat the same college wrestler for example that someone else lost to, it could still factor in as a differentiator.
You can place higher in an event but someone else has better wins or losses in the same event and end up ranked higher. Specific match quality matters more than placement.
Guys who haven’t competed this Spring will start to drop out as we approach Fargo and if they still haven’t competed.
